Bowler James Brindley Scope: All Public Spaces and Residences.

This is our second project for this revolutionary developer originally from Belgium, but now firmly a major player on the London scene, following the landmark mixed-use development The Arc in Shoreditch. BJB have designed all 113 residences, public spaces, and resident facilities. We always enjoy the collaboration with this client creatively and we were inspired by various narratives to produce an unusual and unexpected interior.
The designs are under wraps but themes for the residences and public spaces have been derived following extensive research into the site and its history. The site’s original use as a candle factory was inspirational, ensuring wherever you are within the building, there is a feeling of a candle’s symbolic warmth. Sustainability in material choice is vital, as is the connection to nature and greenery, and this has been incorporated throughout, and flexible public spaces are accentuated by full height velvet drapes increasing the feeling of drama and cosiness.
